Self-Love Has Been Sold To Us In Bubble Baths And “I Am Enough” Affirmations. These Rituals Are Soothing, Even Necessary, But What If The Parts Of Us That Most Need Love Remain Untouched?
The self-love mantra often focuses on actions: taking time for ourselves, running a bath, lighting a candle, journaling, or booking a spa day. While all of these are nurturing and have a meaningful place in a woman’s ritual of self-care, much of it doesn’t require us to connect with ourselves at a deeper level.
"What Parts Of Us Remain Unseen, Unheard, And Unfelt?"
True self-love is more than the mantras we repeat. It is more than the gratitude journal we write in and the warm candlelit baths we take. It is the deep trust we cultivate in our intuitive knowing ; the kind of knowing that makes our sense of worth so resonant within us, we no longer betray ourselves by pleasing, capitulating, or settling. It is the entitled permission we give ourselves to feel, to explore, and to choose. It is the alignment to who we are that makes our Hell Yes or Hell No, undeniable.
Embracing pleasure is one of the most radical and embodied forms of self-love.
What may sound indulgent is, in truth, a deep devotion that requires us to turn inward and become present to our bodies and our desires. It is this path that invites us to begin to let go of shame. We awaken to our sexual and sensual energy in a way that feels delicious and alive. Through pleasure, we begin to say yes to ourselves.
The profound impact of embracing pleasure is that it rewires how we show up in every other area of life.
Pleasure teaches us to say no without apology, yes without shame, and to stop betraying ourselves for the sake of acceptance. Embracing pleasure becomes an extension of our vitality, a way of engaging with every part of life that reflects our deep devotion to ourselves. Through pleasure, our experience of self-love becomes deeply embodied, profoundly felt, and fully known.
